The following works comprise Anna Paulita Canales' 20 image submission portfolio for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
The images were produced and curated over a ten week period alongside a full time teaching practice, ballet training, and medical uncertainty. This body of work operates as a visual conversation shaped by shifts between urgency and suspension, as the artist navigates time, self-doubt, legacy, and the pressure to define life intentionally. Through restraint and poetic attention, the work reflects an ambitious engagement with what it means to choose how one lives while time continues to accelerate.
